Baseball Recap: Bullitt East Wins Going Away Against Harrison County

While Bullitt East put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Harrison County. The Chargers blew past the Thorobreds/Fillies 7-0. The Chargers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 8-1).

The result came thanks to Garrison Miller's shutout, as he gave up just six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bradley Myers, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Jack Willard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Bullitt East has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Harrison County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 28-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bullitt East will face off against Lexington Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrison County, they will square off against Campbell County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
