Football Recap: Notre Dame Prep Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Notre Dame Prep was the 20-14 winner over Desert Edge when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Saints took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scorpions on Friday. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Notre Dame Prep took the loss, they still got scores from Jace Wright and Gunnar Perry.

Desert Edge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Byron Brandon, who rushed for 121 yards and one score. Those 121 rushing yards gave Brandon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Travion Dixson, who picked up 83 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Notre Dame Prep now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Desert Edge, the victory was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Notre Dame Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 62-34 win against Gilbert on the 19th. As for Desert Edge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 29-7 victory against ALA - Gilbert North on the 19th.
