Preview: Harpeth Indians vs. White House Blue Devils
Harpeth has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Harpeth Indians and the White House Blue Devils will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Houston County scored an imposing 67 points on Tuesday, Harpeth still came out on top. Harpeth had just enough and edged Houston County out 69-67. The win was just what Harpeth needed coming off of a 65-39 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, even though Hume-Fogg scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, White House still came out on top. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, White House made off with a 63-62 win over Hume-Fogg.
White House got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Worrell out in front who scored 24 points along with five assists. Worrell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Hill, who scored 14 points.
Harpeth's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for White House, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Harpeth came up short against White House in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 55-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hill, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 0 assists. Now that Harpeth knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
