Softball Recap: St. Henry Comes Up Short

St. Henry lost to Dixie Heights back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crusaders lost 24-8 to the Colonels. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylor Witham stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Zimmer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

St. Henry's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Dixie Heights, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Henry will challenge Newport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dixie Heights, they will take on Notre Dame Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colonels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pandas have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
