Recap: Mentorship Academy Sharks vs. Delhi Bears
On Saturday, Mentorship Academy strolled past Delhi with points to spare, taking the game 65-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mentorship Academy.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jimmy Spruill, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. Spruill is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Dural, who scored nine points.
Mentorship Academy's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Delhi, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Mentorship Academy and West Feliciana will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. West Feliciana will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Mentorship Academy is ranked 64th). Delhi and Richwood will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Richwood is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
