Football Game Preview: Scotlandville Hornets vs. Zachary Broncos

Scotlandville is 2-8 against Zachary since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hornets will head out to square off against the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Scotlandville has given up an average of 26 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Scotlandville's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against West Monroe on Friday. They took a blow against the Rebels, falling 40-0. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Rebels are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Zachary strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They really took it to Opelousas for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-6 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.

Scotlandville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Zachary, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Scotlandville suffered a grim 40-15 defeat to Zachary when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
