Football Recap: Vista del Lago Triumphs + How To Watch

On Monday Vista del Lago's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Franklin Wildcats, sneaking past 26-24. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Vista del Lago's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Madisyn Ortenblad. Taylor Peyrucain got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Vista del Lago's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Vista del Lago will head out to face off against West Campus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will welcome St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Troubadours' defense has only allowed 3.7 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
