Soccer Recap: Bensalem Takes a Loss

Bensalem managed to slip by Council Rock South the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Fighting Owls lost 5-0 to the Golden Hawks on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, Bensalem's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bensalem has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Council Rock South, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bensalem is set to square off against their familiar foe Neshaminy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Council Rock South will face off against rival Pennsbury at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
