Basketball Recap: Valor South Austin Gets the Win

Valor South Austin posted their closest victory since November 21, 2024 on Saturday. They slipped by the San Marcos Academy Bears 40-39. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Bears last Friday, they had to take a 49-47 defeat.

Valor South Austin's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for San Marcos Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valor South Austin will challenge Brazos Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Marcos Academy, they will head out to face off against The Christian School at Castle Hills at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
