Soccer Recap: Campbell County Comes Up Short

Campbell County's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Knoxville A Ambassadors, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Campbell County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Knoxville A are ranked 70th).

Campbell County has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season. As for Knoxville A, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0-2.

Looking ahead, Campbell County will welcome Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Knoxville A, they will square off against Concord Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Knoxville A 0.5, Concord Christian 0.5) so any goals scored will be well earned.
