Softball Recap: Spring Mills Takes a Loss

Spring Mills and Jefferson squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Spring Mills had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 8-6. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-2 defeat on Monday.

Alexis Wagner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Allyson Selby, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Spring Mills and nudges their season record down to 18-10. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Spring Mills nor Jefferson have any future games scheduled.
