Northwestern dropped down to 13-6 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the St. Croix Falls Saints by a score of 3-2. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Saints from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Shelby Hessel paced Northwestern's offense, picking up 18 kills. Hessel got some help from Finley Peterson and her 30 assists. Peterson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

The Tigers (ranked 103rd) will meet Cumberland (ranked 391st) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Croix Falls will square off against Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (121 vs. 247).
