Basketball Recap: Jack Gross Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

After losing to Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta the last time they met, B O L D decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The B O L D Warriors walked away with a 54-47 win over the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead B O L D to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Gross, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Gross' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Will Penkert, who posted 18 points and seven boards.

B O L D was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

B O L D is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. B O L D will head out to face off against Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, they will take on Cherry at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
