Basketball Recap: Providence Country Day Comes Up Short

Providence Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 73-54 bruising from the North Smithfield Northmen.

Providence Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for North Smithfield, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Country Day won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Andrew's at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Smithfield, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Central Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Smithfield is on a three-game streak of home wins, Central Falls a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
