Basketball Recap: Olathe East Comes Up Short

Olathe East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 72-62 to the Olathe North Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 80-54 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Olathe East's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Olathe North, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Coming up, Olathe East will face off against Gardner-Edgerton on Tuesday. As for Olathe North, they will head out on the road to square off against Mill Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Olathe North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Mill Valley likes a good challenge.
