Softball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Lafayette and John Curtis Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lafayette had to settle for second. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 10-0. The Mighty Lions were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Patriots' pitcher proved too tough.

Lafayette saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Larpenteur, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Lafayette's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-10. As for John Curtis Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Lafayette nor John Curtis Christian have any future games scheduled.
