Soccer Game Preview: Crossville vs. Homewood

The Crossville Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Homewood Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Crossville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals back in February, they were much more limited against Fort Payne on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. The Lions have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Homewood entered their tilt with St. Michael Catholic on Saturday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Cardinals 5-1. Considering the Patriots have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Homewood pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those eight games. As for Crossville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
