Soccer Game Preview: Bassett vs. Workman

The Bassett Olympians will venture away from home to square off against the Workman Lobos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bassett fought the good fight in their overtime game against Ganesha on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Giants by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Workman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to La Puente.

Workman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17-1. As for Bassett, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Bassett took their victory against Workman when the teams last played on January 14th by a conclusive 18-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bassett since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
