It was a good run, but Kate Duncan Smith DAR unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Arab Knights by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Emma Guffey paced Kate Duncan Smith DAR's offense, picking up 18 kills. Guffey got some help from Gillian Head and her 22 assists. Shayna Russell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Kate Duncan Smith DAR now has a losing record of 17-18. As for Arab, their victory bumped their record up to 13-16.

Looking ahead, Kate Duncan Smith DAR will be taking part in a tournament against Athens Bible at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Arab, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Guntersville on the 22nd.
