Hoover hadn't beaten Fresno on the road since April 2, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Patriots came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 7-2. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered an 8-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hazel Martinez was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk).
