Baseball Recap: Susquehanna Township's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Susquehanna Township was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against York Suburban on Friday. The HANNA blew past the Trojans 15-3. Considering the HANNA's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jacole Pate was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Pate was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Susquehanna Township got a massive performance out of Ayden Fallows, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Fallows a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Hertz, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Susquehanna Township kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Susquehanna Township moved to 9-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for York Suburban, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Susquehanna Township will face off against Harrisburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for York Suburban, they will square off against William Penn at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
