Softball Recap: Bay Springs Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Bay Springs's offense. They fell just short of Clarkdale by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. Bay Springs hasn't had much luck with Clarkdale recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Bay Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Clarkdale, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Bay Springs will venture away from home to face off against Stringer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Clarkdale, they will challenge Morton at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
