Basketball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 82-20 loss at the hands of the Tyler Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-40 back in December of 2024.

Ta'Tteara Culberson was Marshall's leading scorer, having posted four points. Makayla Hudson held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Tyler, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-33 loss against Hallsville on the 17th. Tyler has also already played their next match, a 60-55 victory against Jacksonville on the 17th.
