Volleyball Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short on the Road Against Carmi-White County

Mt. Carmel kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Carmi-White County Bulldogs. The Golden Aces were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-7.

Mt. Carmel's offense was headlined by Jayla Johnson and Lyla Keepes, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Gabby Schneider and her four assists.

Mt. Carmel has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Edwards County on the 28th. As for Carmi-White County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Grayville on the 26th.
