Highland won the last time they faced Higley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-0 win. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Cambria Chacon looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Highland let MiaLani Ocampo and Karsyn Norton run wild. Ocampo went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Norton went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits Norton has posted since back in February. MadiLynn Bowen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Higley only posted an OBP of .130.

As for Higley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18-1 record this season.
