Basketball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

Plainview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-12 loss at the hands of the Wisner-Pilger Gators.

Plainview's loss came despite strong showings from Riley Miller and Adalyn Dummer. Miller posted two points along with seven boards and three blocks, while Dummer had no points. Miller is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Wisner-Pilger, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainview will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Wisner-Pilger, they will welcome Stanton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
