The CIF Southern Section Division 1 bracket is down to the final four.

No. 15 Mission Viejo hosts No. 1 Mater Dei and No. 5 Corona Centennial takes on No. 7 St. John Bosco. This will be the third playoff matchup between the Monarchs and the Diablos since 2010 with the series being tied at one apiece. It is the fifth straight year Bosco and Centennial meet up in the playoffs and the series is tied 2-2.

A couple of marquee Texas games are featured this week.

Lake Travis looks to avenge one of its two losses against Julon Williams and Converse Judson this Saturday. DeSoto and Southlake Carroll meet for the third time in the playoffs since 2012 and the Eagles have won both of the previous meetings.

Storyline

This has become one of the best rivalries in the country over the last five years. For the fifth straight season these two will meet in the playoffs. Over the previous four meetings the Braves have scored 210 points and the Huskies have put up 206 points. The big question mark heading into this one is the status of Centennial's 4-star quarterback Tanner McKee. He left last week's game against Murrieta Valley and is a game time decision for this Friday night.

Storyline

This will be the second meeting of the year and Judson rolled past Lake Travis in the season opener for both teams. The Cavaliers are very young and have grown a lot since that loss. Williams is one of the most explosive players in the country and in the first matchup he had over 500 total yards and four touchdowns. Baldwin missed last week's playoff opener with an ankle injury, but he should be ready to go Saturday. Hank Carter earned his 100th career win with last week's victory against Madison (San Antonio). Since taking over Lake Travis in 2010, Carter is 100-12 with three state championships.

The defending Florida Class 6A state champs are hoping they can end Northwestern's season for the second straight year. These two met earlier this year with Northwestern knocking off the Chiefs 16-7. The two are among the best in the state when it comes to talent and a strong case could be made for either to be called Florida's top defense. This is the 17th meeting since 2004 between the two Miami rivals and Northwestern has won 10 of the previous 16. This also is the third playoff matchup since 2004 and Carol City has won both previous meetings.
