Baseball Recap: Stratton's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Stratton's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cheyenne Wells Tigers 8-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Stratton's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Von Isenbart, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The Eagles are 2-1 when Isenbart posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Dominic Hornung also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Stratton's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cheyenne Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
