Baseball Recap: Niagara Falls' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Niagara Falls waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Kenmore East Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 last Tuesday.

Niagara Falls got a great performance from Andre Borges as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. What's more, Borges posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Anthony Savino was excellent, going 1-for-5 with three stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Dominic Puleo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Niagara Falls pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-5 Kenmore West and 1-3 Lewiston-Porter (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32.4% over those games). As for Kenmore East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
