Basketball Recap: Pine Bluff Takes a Loss

Pine Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost to the Bellaire Cardinals on the road by a 61-45 margin.

Bellaire got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kohlman Dutton out in front who went 8 of 13 on his way to 17 points and five steals. What's more, Dutton also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shelton Henderson, who went 13 for 27 on his way to 25 points.

Pine Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Bellaire, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
