Salisbury Township proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Markus Jones, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Salisbury Township has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Northwestern Lehigh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
