Volleyball Recap: Seton Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Christian, Seton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Oakcrest Chargers 3-0. The Conquistadors haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Seton never let Oakcrest on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 25-19.

Seton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Oakcrest, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Seton and Oakcrest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Conquistadors will square off against Fredericksburg Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (287 vs. 22). Meanwhile, Oakcrest (ranked 340th) will meet Connelly School of the Holy Child (ranked 77th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
