Softball Game Preview: Ector Eagles vs. Commerce Tigers

The Ector Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Commerce Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Commerce took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ector, who comes in off a win.

Ector will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Dodd City, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Ector came out on top against Dodd City by a score of 9-6 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Commerce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-2 to Rains.

Commerce saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karis Lewis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Lewis has posted since back in February.

Ector now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Commerce, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1.
