Football Recap: Sweeny Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Sweeny had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Bay City Blackcats 48-14. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Blackcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Keimarion Wiggins had an outrageously good game for Bay City as he picked up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards and one TD.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweeny will venture away from home to face off against Van Vleck at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bay City, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
