Basketball Game Preview: Titusville Terriers vs. Space Coast Vipers

Titusville and Space Coast are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Titusville Terriers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Space Coast Vipers at 7:00 p.m. Space Coast took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Titusville, who comes in off a win.

Titusville will head into Thursday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a 23-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Edgewood 28-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Terriers have posted since December 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Mater Lakes Academy and fell 78-38.

Despite the defeat, Space Coast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Phillayjah Carroll posted 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zanya Smith, who put up eight points.

Space Coast's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Titusville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Titusville took a serious blow against Space Coast when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 64-36. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Space Coast's Lashiya Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.
