Volleyball Game Preview: West De Pere Phantoms vs. Bay Port Pirates

West De Pere hasn't had much luck against Bay Port recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Phantoms will square off against the Pirates. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with West De Pere sitting on 12 straight victories and Bay Port on three.

West De Pere is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Pulaski 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Phantoms have posted against the Red Raiders since September 17, 2022.

Meanwhile, Bay Port made easy work of Green Bay Preble on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Bay Port not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Green Bay Preble between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-16.

Bay Port's win came from a few key players West De Pere will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Taylor Russell, who had seven digs and two aces. Taylor Neuenschwander also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Bay Port's win bumped their record up to 24-7. As for West De Pere, their victory bumped their record up to 29-7.
