Basketball Game Preview: Jimtown Jimmies vs. Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles

The Jimtown Jimmies will head out on the road to square off against the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jimtown is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against South Bend Washington on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Jimtown lost 82-58 to South Bend Washington. The Jimmies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.

Meanwhile, Elkhart Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Lakeland and fell 64-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Lakers are ranked 99th).

Elkhart Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Jimtown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Jimtown barely slipped by Elkhart Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 57-56. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Elkhart Christian Academy's Aiden Hibbard, who went 11 of 17 on his way to 32 points in addition to six assists and five steals.
