Mt. Diablo and Concord are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2022, but not for long. The Red Devils will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Bears at 6:30 p.m. Mt. Diablo will be strutting in after a win while Concord will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Mt. Diablo beat Miramonte 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Concord came up short against Benicia on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Bears have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

While Concord had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Mt. Diablo, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
