Basketball Recap: Holden Takes a Loss

Holden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stover Bulldogs. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 73-64 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Holden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Stover, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Holden and Stover could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Holden (ranked 522nd) will meet Lexington (ranked 222nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Stover will face off against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th down 312 places (412 vs. 100).
