Meeker got a massive performance out of Ashlynn Ducey, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple. Ducey also put up a double, which washer first of the season. Another player making a difference was Miley Chism, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Meeker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meeker's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Weld Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Meeker will host Delta at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weld Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Timnath at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weld Central is facing Timnath at the right time seeing as Timnath is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
