Softball Recap: Hoover Beats Oak Mountain for Their Second Straight Win

Hoover made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Oak Mountain, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Buccaneers never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Thursday. The Buccaneers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th.

The win made it two in a row for Hoover and bumps their season record up to 11-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Oak Mountain, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 11-11.

Looking ahead, Hoover will be taking part in a tournament against Chilton County at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Oak Mountain, they will take on Corner in a tournament on Friday.
