Basketball Recap: Cape Henlopen Takes Down Conrad Science in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Cape Henlopen had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Conrad Science Red Wolves with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 71-55. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 16 points.

Amalia Fruchtman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 32 points and nine boards. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Hudson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Cape Henlopen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Cape Henlopen has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. Conrad Science's loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Cape Henlopen is taking a road trip to challenge Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Conrad Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
