Baseball Recap: Pine City's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After losing to Crosby-Ironton the last time they met, Pine City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dragons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rangers on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. The game was the first time the Dragons have beaten the Rangers on their field since April 30, 2018.

Pine City got a great performance from Ethan Aagaard as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, Pine City's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Hogberg, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Pine City's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Crosby-Ironton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Pine City will take on Milaca at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Crosby-Ironton, they will face off against East Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
