Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is St. Louis Christian Homeschool K's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

After losing to Lincoln HomeSchool the last time they met, St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights walked away with a 64-51 win over the Lincoln HomeSchool Eagles on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 287th in Missouri, while the Eagles are ranked 56th in Nebraska).

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Reed out in front who posted 20 points. Reed's morning made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Key, who had 17 points.

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-17 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points over those games. Lincoln HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-38 loss against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool on the 20th. As for Lincoln HomeSchool, they and Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will face off at 5:15 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
