Basketball Recap: Owasso Falls Short of Broken Arrow in the Playoffs

Owasso and Broken Arrow squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Owasso had to settle for second. They came up short against the Broken Arrow Tigers, falling 55-33. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Broken Arrow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rekiah Bowen out in front who shot 50% from the field on her way to 15 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Bowen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenzie Mathurin, who went 6-for-13 en route to 13 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Owasso's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Broken Arrow, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-2.

As of now, neither Owasso nor Broken Arrow have any future games scheduled.
