Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Douglas). Everything went their way against the Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs on Friday as they made off with  a  13-6 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the  contest before.
 Colbey Begin made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Douglas is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 2-7 otherwise. Begin was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  RBI and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Ethan Curry was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. Those  four  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Andrew Nason also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Douglas has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Assabet Valley RVT,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-11.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas will venture away from home to  challenge Nipmuc Regional  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will head out to  face off against Hudson  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Aztecs are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
