Wheeler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Etowah Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

Kate Holley had an outrageously good game for Etowah as she had 20 digs and six aces. The dominant performance gave Holley a new career-high in aces.
Wheeler's defeat dropped their record down to 8-24. As for Etowah, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-18.
