Football Game Preview: Campo Verde Coyotes vs. Gilbert Tigers + How To Watch

Campo Verde is 8-2 against Gilbert since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Coyotes will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Campo Verde will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Campo Verde beat Notre Dame Prep 30-17.

Drake Bradley was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown. Those 112 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Wyatt Rauch was in the mix too, providing Campo Verde with one TD.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. All came from Mason Brogan: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 3-for-3 again kicking extra points for an additional three.

Meanwhile, Gilbert played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Arizona College Prep, falling 44-21. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Campo Verde will have to contain Zane Grant as he made an impact in Gilbert's last game. He threw for 372 yards and three touchdowns. Grant is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Even if they lost, Gilbert's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jaymin King, Christian Seeley, and Andrew Nichols, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Campo Verde's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Gilbert, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Campo Verde was able to grind out a solid win over Gilbert in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 27-14. Do the Coyotes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
