Volleyball Recap: Central Pointe Christian Academy CPCA vs. Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles

Central Pointe Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles by a score of 3-2. The CPCA were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August.

Central Pointe Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Calvary Chapel Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 16-25, 15-11.

Calvary Chapel Academy was led to victory by Kianne Amelunge and Abigail Cieslak. Amelunge had nine digs and two aces, while Cieslak had 25 digs, 15 kills, and 15 kills. Amelunge is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last three games she's played.

Central Pointe Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
