Basketball Recap: Texico Drops Season-High Score on Hagerman

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Texico). They breezed by the Hagerman Bobcats to the tune of 69-10 on Tuesday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.

The win (which was Texico's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Hagerman, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Texico will take on Logan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Texico knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Logan likes a good challenge. As for Hagerman, they will face off against New Mexico Military Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
